Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 June 2026
About these terms
Altus Move ("we", "us") is a platform for UK removals businesses, operated as a UK sole-trader business based in Edinburgh. Full legal and contact details are available on request from hello@altusmove.com. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
The service
Altus Move helps you run a removals business — enquiries, surveys, quotes, scheduling, jobs, invoicing, payments, and customer messages. It's currently in beta: we're improving it constantly, features may change, and it's provided "as is" without guarantees of uptime. Anything marked "coming soon" isn't a promise it will ship.
Your account
Keep your login details secure — you're responsible for what happens under your account and for your staff's use of it. The service is built for UK businesses.
Your data and your customers' data
You own the data you put in. Where it includes personal data about your own customers, you are the data controller and we are your processor — you're responsible for telling your customers how their data is used. Our Data Processing Agreement (/dpa) sets out how we handle that data on your behalf under UK GDPR Article 28, and our Privacy Policy lists the providers we use. Don't upload sensitive data you don't have a proper basis to hold.
Fair use
Don't use the service unlawfully, send unsolicited marketing through it, try to break its security, or access other businesses' data. You're responsible for following the law (including the rules on marketing messages) when you contact your own customers.
Payments and fees
Where you take card payments, they're handled by Stripe under Stripe's terms; you're responsible for your own tax, invoicing, and deposit/cancellation terms with your customers.
The service is free during beta. We plan to introduce paid plans later; if you sign up before then you'll be offered the early-adopter rate of £69/month per business, and we'll give clear notice before any charges start — you can simply stop using it rather than be charged.
Liability
We don't exclude liability the law won't let us. Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or lost data, and you should keep your own backups of important business records. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.
Changes
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and let you know of significant changes. These terms are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
